International Third Party Payment (Standard)

This lesson will take you through making an international third party payment. For example purposes, this lesson will take you through making an international payment to the USA.

1. The Payments tab ACTION REQUIRED ACTION COMPLETE

Select the 'Make a Payment' option in the Payments drop down menu.

2. Step 1: Pay from ACTION REQUIRED ACTION COMPLETE

Choose the account you wish to make the payment from and click on the 'SELECT' button.

3. Step 2: Pay to ACTION REQUIRED ACTION COMPLETE

Under the ‘KNOWN PAYEE’ tab, select the U.S payee you wish to make the payment to and click on the 'SELECT' button.

4. Step 3: Payment Details (Option 1) ACTION REQUIRED ACTION COMPLETE

Enter the transaction details:

The Payment Currency will automatically default to Euro and the Payment Type will automatically default to the Standard payment option.

Enter a Payment Amount.

If you have intermediary bank details, you will have the option to click on the ‘INTERMEDIARY BANK DETAILS’ button and enter the swift address, bank name and city.

Enter a Payment Date and an End-to-End Reference. You will also have the option to add in additional payment messages. Please enter an additional payment message in the text field provided.

5. Step 3: Payment Details (Option 2) ACTION REQUIRED ACTION COMPLETE

Alternatively, select U.S. dollar from the payment currency drop down.

The standard payment option will be automatically selected in the Payment Type dropdown menu.

Enter a payment amount.

If you have a booked a spot or forward contract, you can click on the ‘SPOT/ FORWARD’ button and input you your spot or forward information.

Enter a payment date and end-to-end reference. You will also have the option to add in additional payment messages. Please enter an additional payment message in the text field provided.

6. Payment Type

You will be advised of the type of payment you have saved.

7. Step 4: Confirm

You can authorise the payment now, or save the payment for a future date. If the payment is saved for a later date, it will be available in the Payments Centre. You can also reset the payment.

Read the introduction for the lesson and follow the numbered activities below.

You will be instructed as to what to view or interact with through the lesson instructions.

3. Understanding the Lesson Steps

There are two types of activity you will be asked to follow in a lesson; an Action or an Overview. The type of activity is displayed beneath the activity title.

1. Overview Lessons

An overview lesson takes you through the descriptions of the area highlighted in the view window. You will not need to carry out any action. Click the green next button once you have read through and understood each step.

2. Action Lessons

An action lesson requires you to complete action steps in the live area of the lesson screen. Each step will clearly outline what you are required to do. When you have completed an action press the green continue button to advance to the next step.

4. Completing an Activity

When you have completed an activity, the activity title will change colour to green with a completed tick mark beside it.

Completed Activity

Below you can see a completed action. Press the next button to move to the next activity.

Activity Error

An error message will appear if the action is not completed correctly. You can retry the activity or access a pdf lesson guide.

Blue Star

Denotes a favourited account

Pencil

Accesses the Personalise Accounts pop-up where the user can nickname accounts

Eye Icon

Brings the user to a detailed screen

Plus Symbol

Denotes there is further information to be displayed

Minus Symbol

Hides information being displayed

Menu Icon

Opens the Training Portal menu system.Note* This icon only appears in the training portal
